Our Team
Dr. David S. Ellman is one of the leading professionals for women’s health in Florida. He’s a Board Certified OBGYN who’s been practicing in South Florida for over 25 years and believes in a holistic approach to women’s health care. Dr. Ellman earned his Bachelor of Science Degree from the State University of New York at Binghamton and earned his medical degree at Albert Einstein College of Medicine of Yeshiva University. He understands the importance of fostering long-term relationships with patients at the women’s health clinic and leads a team of women’s health professionals committed to the patient experience.
Ilona Blumberg brings in over 30 years of experience in women’s healthcare, midwifery, expert obstetrics, and gynecology care. Trained to address a broad array of medical issues, Ilona Blumberg received her master’s degree in nursing from the University of Cincinnati. She has her doctorate from Maryville University where she completed her dissertation on postmenopausal women. As a registered nurse practitioner with a specialty in Midwifery, Ilona believes in developing a relationship with her patients based on mutual respect, trust, and open communication.

Obstetrics is a field of women’s health care that deals with pregnancy and giving birth. Our women’s health clinic offers an array of services dedicated to ensuring a healthy delivery for both you and your baby. An obstetrician/gynecologist also has expertise in reproductive system disorders and other women’s health care issues.
OBGYNs are considered to be specialty professionals for women’s health, and our women’s health care services include services for breast care, sexually transmitted infections (STIs), and ovarian cancer. Thanks to increases in screening procedures, we can now detect and treat many forms of cancer before they have a chance to spread. In fact, we’ve seen over a 50% drop in incidence rates since the mid-1970s because of early screening. All OBGYNs at our women’s health clinic receive rigorous training to continue providing the women’s health care our patients deserve.
In addition to seeing an OBGYN, women are also encouraged to go to other professionals for women’s health at least once per year, including their primary care physician. We will work with primary care providers to coordinate care and ensure optimal women’s health care for all of our patients throughout their lifetime. During pregnancy, the OBGYN predominantly functions as a woman’s primary physician and services the majority of her women’s health care needs, but we will coordinate with all of the members of your medical team.
Our women’s health clinic also features many wonderful amenities to make you comfortable during your visit. We have a waiting room coffee bar, refreshments, and a relaxing aromatherapy experience rarely seen at a women’s health clinic. We also have a state-of-the-art sonogram room and an in-house laboratory for rapid turnaround on testing and other procedures at the women’s health clinic.
