Imelda Jean-Pierre, APRN, CNM
Imelda Jean-Pierre was raised and educated in Chicago. She attended Rush University where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing and then completed a Master’s degree in Management and Human Resources at Louis University. Imelda also holds a second Master’s degree in Nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner from Saint Xavier University.
Her nursing experiences encompass over 13 years in the operating room and medical-surgical nursing. In 1996, Imelda relocated to Florida and worked as an ARNP at Planned Parenthood for many years. In addition, she worked for Broward Health (formerly the North Broward Hospital District) as an ARNP in family health. Imelda attended the University of Miami and received a post-Master’s degree in Midwifery.
As a midwife, Imelda is dedicated to empowering women in childbearing. She strongly believes that birth is the pinnacle by which women discover the courage to become mothers. Imelda’s gift to the world is assisting women in bringing forth the new generation of tomorrow into this wonderful world we all share. A native of Haiti, Imelda is fluent in English and Creole. She enjoys spinning and playing the harp and piano in her spare time.
