About Dr. Hernandez

Obstetrician and gynecologist Ana Hernandez, MD, is a caring provider who’s passionate about improving women’s health at OB/GYN Associates of Miami in Miami, Florida.

Dr. Hernandez began her professional education at the University of Florida in Gainesville, earning her Bachelor of Science in Microbiology and Cell Science, and making the dean’s list all four years.

Dr. Hernandez received her medical degree from the University of Miami School of Medicine and completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Jackson Memorial Hospital, also in Miami, where she served as the chief administrative resident.

As an OB/GYN, Dr. Hernandez has a special interest in gynecologic screening and prevention, management of severe preeclampsia, HIV-related cervical dysplasia, and prenatal care and prevention. She’s fluent in English and Spanish, enabling her to serve Miami’s diverse community.

Dr. Hernandez proudly holds membership in the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology, the Miami Obstetrical and Gynecological Society, and the American Medical Association. She also serves as a diplomat of the Florida Obstetric and Gynecologic Society.

When Dr. Hernandez isn’t meeting with women and helping them achieve better health, you can find her jogging, spinning, watching Major League Baseball, or spending quality time with her family. She also dedicates time to the volunteer operating room at Shands Hospital in Gainesville, Florida.
