Our Team
Welcome to our OB/GYN practice in Miami, Florida. Our family is excited to have the pleasure and the privilege of taking care of yours. Drs. Joanna, Sarah, and Victoria Bedell are identical triplets, and Dr. Janet Gersten is their proud mother.
Our practice has received national media attention due to our unique history: It’s not every day that you see identical triplets – all OB/GYNs – working with their mother.
Dr. Gersten has been serving the Miami community since 1983, and some of her patients have been seeing her for over three decades. She is thrilled to be working alongside her daughters, each of whom followed a different path in identifying OB/GYN as their chosen medical specialty.

Dr. Janet Gersten was born in Brookline, Massachusetts and earned her undergraduate degree at Brandeis University, graduating with honors. She attended medical school at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York City and completed her internship and residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Jackson Memorial Hospital/University of Miami. I have been to many gynecologists over a number of years. It was such a welcome surprise to be met by an attentive and most professional physician and her staff. In an era where much of the doctor’s time has become occupied by a computer screen, I never once felt like I was in competition and vying for her attention. The office is very professional and everyone that works there is nice and polite. They are very timely, I’ve never had a long wait. The doctors are all wonderful, they take their time and ask questions and answer yours never making you feel rushed. I personally see Dr. Bedell, but they all wonderful doctors. I saw their mom for about 15 years before her daughters took over seeing patients. If you are a woman that prefers seeing a woman doctor. I highly recommend this group of amazing doctors!
