HPV Management
in Boca Raton & Boynton, FL
Human papillomavirus (HPV) is a very common virus that can infect both males and females. There are over 100 different types of HPV, and about 40 of them can be contracted via sexual contact. Some types of human papillomavirus infection can produce genital warts, while others can lead to the development of cervical, vaginal, vulvar, and anal cancer.
If you do end up suffering from human papillomavirus infection, most of the time, the virus will pass on its own without causing any serious HPV symptoms, not even genital warts. Other HPV symptoms, such as changes in the skin, discharge, or bleeding, may indicate a more serious condition.
In some cases, the infection can lead to abnormal changes in the cells of the cervix, which can then develop into cervical cancer if not treated. That’s why women need to have regular Pap tests, which can detect abnormal cervical cells and allow them to be treated before they develop into cancer. Additionally, HPV testing can be done alone or in combination with a Pap test.
Dealing With HPV Infection
One of the most effective ways to prevent human papillomavirus infection is through vaccination. The HPV vaccine is recommended for both men and women starting at the age of 11 or 12, and it can be given up until the age of 45. The vaccine can protect against the most common types of HPV that could lead to cervical cancer, and it’s been found to be very safe.
In addition to regular screenings, there are also some treatments that can help to remove abnormal cervical cells, such as cryotherapy, laser therapy, and cone biopsy. In more advanced cases, surgery may be necessary.

Dr. Ciaccio is one of the best doctors I have ever met. She has been so attentive and supportive throughout my entire pregnancy. I was diagnosed with COVID at 32 weeks pregnant. We set up a telehealth appt and she immediately contacted my perinatologist to Collaborate with him on a plan of care. She was accessible to me daily. I could not have gotten through the nightmare of COVID during pregnancy without her support.
Whenever I called the on call doctor they always responded immediately. They were all so kind and helpful at all hours of the night and day. I am so thankful I found Women’s Health Partner’s!!

If you are pregnant and looking for the best care, you found the right place. I saw a few doctors from the Women’s Health Partner office in Boca, and they were all amazing. Most important is that when the labor time came, Dr. Newman and his team were there for me. They were the most caring and experienced doctors you can ask for. Dr. Ciaccio delivered my baby. If I have to do it again I wouldn’t excitate to be with them. I can go on and on on how much I’m thankful for their service. I am also grateful for the receptionist, specially Heidi, she is wonderful.
