Pamela Merino, MD, demonstrates a passion for guiding her patients on the path toward a healthy lifestyle and achieving optimal levels of wellness. When you are a patient at Merino Medical & Wellness, you have Dr. Merino as your mentor to set goals and live a healthy lifestyle.

Dr. Merino opened her solo practice in October 2006 in Coral Gables, Florida, offering internationally renowned, excellent medical services to all her patients, always striving to meet all their needs. She is affiliated with multiple hospitals in the area including Baptist Health South Florida entities.

Dr. Merino is Board-Certified in Internal Medicine, Board-Certified in Lifestyle Medicine, and Board-Certified in Obesity Medicine.

  • A Board-Certified Internal Medicine Specialist is one who has gone through the strictest examination and maintained the highest standards upheld by the medical societies as an expert in their field.

  • A Board-Certified Obesity Medicine Specialist plans and oversees your weight loss program to help you lose weight in the safest and most effective manner possible. Dr. Merino serves on the faculty of Florida International University (FIU) as an Associate Professor of Medicine and in the past has served on the faculties of New York Medical College School of Medicine, Yale University School of Medicine and Nursing, and as Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine at the University of Miami.

  • A Board-Certified Lifestyle Medicine Specialist, is one who makes use of evidence-based therapeutic approaches including a predominantly whole food, plant-based diet, physical activity, adequate sleep, tobacco cessation, and other non-drug modalities to prevent, treat, and often, reverse chronic disease. Dr. Merino empowers patients to take control of their health and well-being, and she includes stress management techniques as part of her plan of care.
