Penelope Cuoco, ARNP, also known as Penny, resides in Davie, Florida with her husband, Dan. Dan is a retired Fire Chief with Miami-Dade Fire-Rescue Department. They are proud parents of two sons, Stephen and Matthew. Stephen is a 2ndLieutenant in the U.S. Air Force and Matthew is currently a cadet at the U.S. Air Force Academy.
Penny was raised in Miami, Florida. She attended the University of Florida for two years of her undergraduate studies and finished her baccalaureate of Science in Nursing at the University of Miami. She began her nursing career at Jackson Memorial Hospital where she worked for 13 years. She worked in the Emergency Room as a staff nurse and became a Trauma Nurse Specialist when JMH became designated as a Level 1 Trauma Center and part of the Dade County Trauma Network. Penny worked diligently with the Trauma Service and was promoted to Trauma Nurse Liaison which was a role designed to bridge the care of the patient and family with the physician staff and nursing services.
Penny decided to return to school for her Masters Degree while continuing to work as Trauma Nurse Liaison. She attended Barry University and graduated with a Masters Degree in Nursing and became an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner, specializing in Family Practice. Penny is board certified in Family Practice by the ANCC and has been working in private practice for the past 26 years.
Penny has been practicing in the Broward County area since 1996 and has been with Manella Family Practice since 2012. Penny has a particular interest in Women’s Health issues, Nutrition and Diabetes care and focuses her practice on early intervention to help prevent the devastating effects of many diseases. Penny believes that educating the patient is the key to successful intervention and often will spend the necessary time with the patient to effectively accomplish this goal.

Manella Family Practice is one of the best medical offices I have been to. Dr Edele is a great doc. He actually talks with you about everything in words that make sense and listens and remembers what was discussed in previous appointments. I recommended him to a co worker who went as was very happy with the treatment he received as well. Top notch doctor and top notch practice!
