Guillermo A. Lievano, DO, is a women’s health osteopath and co-founder of Lievano Perez Obstetrics and Gynecology of Miami, Florida. For Dr. Lievano, practicing medicine is all about providing personalized individual care in a setting that is comfortable and patient-focused. His commitment to his patients and this philosophy of care have earned him numerous accolades, including the Patients Choice Award, which he received twice, as well as the Compassionate Physician Award.
Board-certified in obstetrics and gynecology, Dr. Lievano specializes in minimally invasive surgery, advanced laparoscopy, and high-risk pregnancies. He graduated from Barry University in Miami with a bachelor’s degree in biology and chemistry. He then obtained his osteopathic medicine doctorate at Des Moines University Medicine & Health Sciences in Iowa. He also performed an internship rotation at Palmetto General Hospital at Nova Southeastern University in Hialeah, Florida.
Dr. Lievano completed his postdoctoral clinical training with two obstetrics and gynecology residencies, first at Sinai Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland, then at Jackson Memorial Hospital, the major teaching hospital at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. After his residencies, Dr. Lievano practiced at two highly regarded women’s health care centers in South Florida: All Women’s Healthcare of South Florida and Women’s Personal Physicians LLC.
