Dr Sukienik established his practice to be patient-oriented, a place where “we treat our patients like they are our family”. While that may sound cliché’ at our practice you are known by your first name from the moment you call in for an appointment or a question until you see Dr. Sukienik. We are a full-service medical practice and we pride ourselves in taking care of all our patients with respect and understanding for all your medical needs. We believe everyone who walks through our doors deserves the best health care in an honest, supportive environment. Our office is a full-service Internal Medicine Practice. We are routinely asked if the Doctor is a Family practice doctor which is routinely seen in Primary Care. There are some differences between Family practice and Internal medicine training. While we are similar in a lot of ways an Internal medicine doctor is trained specifically in the care of adults (post puberty through to the end of life). Family practice doctors are generalized but can care for children as well some do OBGYN for instance. The Internist is a specialist in Adult Medicine and that training includes hospital/ICU care as well intricate care for all adult ailments including hypertension, heart disease, Diabetes, COPD, hyperlipidemia and many other disorders. In particular the Physician’s training as an Osteopath has made his approach to medicine one in which he cares for the whole person both body and mind. We take care of all our patients needs including, but not limited, to annual physicals, school physicals, sports and college physicals, preop clearance and post op follow up visits, well and sick visits, all acute and chronic medical conditions home sleep studies, EKG’s, diabetes and hypertension management and so much more. Dr Sukienik is committed to working with you towards your health goals.
The doctor patient relationship needs to be a 50: 50 partnership one based on communication and listening which shows through in all we do. Our office is made up of caring individuals from our front desk staff, our nurse and of course the Physician. When you first arrive, we get to know your first name, who you are and you are greeted with a smile each time you arrive. You will leave with a plan in place for your health care. WE spend time going over all your issues and try not to be the rate limiting step when it comes to your health care. We know sometimes the healthcare system can be confusing and difficult so we try our best to help you navigate through the confusion when necessary.
Dr Sukienik has spent his career working towards repairing our fractured system of healthcare delivery. He firmly believes in the foundation of good health begins with Primary Care. His commitment to fixing the fractured health care system included starting Palm Beach Accountable Care Organization (a Medicare shared savings program). To date this program has saved Medicare greater than 100 million dollars in unnecessary spending and at the same time improved the quality of healthcare delivery and outcomes in our nation and hometown.
Our Practice is innovative and is always adding more technology to help improve healthcare. We are PCMH (Primary Care Medical Home) certified. We offer email, text and live voice confirmations of your upcoming appointments. We have a state-of-the-art electronic medical record system and a telemedicine platform as well for all your health care needs.

There absolutely is no better primary care then Dr then Dr Leonard Sukienik. I have been a patient of his for 5+ years. When you see him, he gives you 100% of his attention 100% of the time. He is caring, considerate, professional and always on the forefront of new medicine. I have been far from an easy patient. I have needed to see several specialist’s. Dr Sukienik not only refers me to the best but stays in contact with them and me to ensure I’m getting proper care. If you are his patient, he educates himself on your complete health care. If your hospitalized, HE will be the Dr who comes to see you (which makes a huge difference when you have someone who knows you and your history). Somehow he seems to remember everything about you. Recently I was hospitalized again for surgery and my surgeon (the best, recommended by Dr Sukienik) does his own hospital care yet who came every day anyway, Dr Sukienik. Primary care Drs coming to the hospital for rounds have almost become extinct but to come and not be paid is beyond exceptional patient care. I could go on and on but if your looking for a primary care expert with excellent bedside manner, will never make you feel rushed and has great staff, he is the Dr you want.
I am a relatively new patient but I find him to be conscientious and professional. He spends time with me and his staff is among the best I have ever worked with – they always answer the telephone and respond to every request promptly and are unfailingly courteous and pleasant. This physician is not always prompt but he never rushes through an appointment and always gives me the time I need. My experience to date is limited but I am very particular and so far I have been happy with this practice. My internist left the country two years ago and I have had difficulty finding a new internist whose practice procedures and skill level met my expectations. Dr. Sukienik, so far, has been helpful and available and exceeded my expectations. His staff is a real asset and we all know just how uncaring and uncooperative some medical office personnel can be.
Dr. Sukienik listens to every word I say when I’m speaking to him. He answers all my questions, he’s supportive and always returns my calls. My prescriptions are called into my pharmacy before i leave the office. For the first time in years I feel like I have someone in my corner, who cares about me as a person and not a number. He explains everything to me and correlates it to my life so that I can see my health from my perspective not anyone elses. I don’t feel lumped into a category or a statistical jar of healthcare generalizations.
