Mitra Mossaddad, M.D.

Dr. Mitra Mossaddad is a new physician joining Lake OBGYN. She completed her residency at Winnie Palmer Hospital in Orlando where she received extensive training in Obstetrics and Gynecology and developed a special interest in robotic surgery and minimally invasive techniques.

Dr. Mossaddad is a former aerospace engineer who decided to leave the field of engineering to pursue a career in medicine. She attended Loyola University Chicago Stritch School of Medicine where she served as the president of her class. During her time there, she developed a passion for women’s health and decided to dedicate her career to advocating for and treating women.

Now joining the Leesburg community, Dr. Mossaddad is eager to establish lasting relationships with her patients, providing comprehensive obstetrics and gynecologic care in a supportive and non-judgmental environment. In her leisure time, she enjoys spending time with friends and family, including her dog Skylar, traveling, running and gardening.
