Dr. Garrote was born and raised in Miami, Florida. She attended the University of Florida, where she obtained a combined Bachelor of Science and Medical Degree as part of the Medical Honors Program. She then completed her pediatric residency at Children’s National Medical Center in Washington, D.C.

After many years away from home, Dr. Garrote returned to join the Gables Pediatrics family in July 2018. She is board certified in Pediatric and Adolescent Medicine by the American Board of Pediatrics and licensed by the Florida Board of Medicine. In addition, she is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. Her special interests include concussion care and musculoskeletal injuries.
