Dr. Zoyla Almeida,
M.D., F.A.C.O.G.
Dr. Almeida is a Board-Certified gynecologist and gynecologic oncologist graduated from Swarthmore College and attended Hahnemann University Medical School and completing her residency and fellowship training at the University of Miami. She held a position as Assistant Professor in Obstetrics and Gynecology while completing her fellowship training. She is also a published researcher and sought-after expert on cancers of the reproductive organs, as well as the significance of preventative care and the latest diagnostic innovations.
Her practice reflects the consistent and compassionate care that she strives to provide to all her patients and their families regardless of background through her ability to speak both English and Spanish proficiently. Her high level of care is what motivates her to pursue cutting edge therapies and procedures that ensure advanced levels of treatment for all her patients.
Dr. Almeida’s specialization in the minimally invasive robotic and Single Incision Laparoscopy Surgery (SILS) reflects her deeply held belief of the importance of the link between female reproductive health and the quality of a woman’s life, allowing for her patients to expect less visible scarring, reduced pain, and faster recovery times. A key component of Dr. Almeida’s approach to gynecological oncology is her drive to enable a patient’s transition from the surgical process to her normal life, all while in the care of a physician who emphasizes the delivery of appropriate and attentive care. Her practice provides a supportive, welcoming, and educational environment for physicians, medical students, and patients alike.
Lucy Trovato, APRN
Lucy Trovato is a Board-Certified Nurse Practitioner with 30 years of experience in the nursing profession. Lucy started her career in women’s health after receiving her Registered Nurse (RN) degree from Muhlenberg School of Nursing in Plainfield, NJ. She continued her education by receiving her Master of Science in Nursing from Felician College in Lodi, NJ. She would further expand upon her expertise by receiving her Board Certification as a Nurse Practitioner. Lucy would come join Dr. Almeida’s practice in 2016 to continue providing quality care in women’s health. Lucy is currently accepting new patients for general gynecological care.
