About Tarek Bardawil, MD, MBA

Dr. Bardawil is a board-certified gynecologist who specializes in general gynecology and minimally invasive surgery. He shares his extensive knowledge and experience with the women in and around the Miami area at Elite Gynecology Miami.

Dr. Bardawil provides personalized care with warmth and compassion. His patients trust him for all types of gynecologic care, including routine preventive care, family planning, diagnosis and treatment of health conditions, menopause management, and more.

An expert in minimally invasive gynecologic surgery, Dr. Bardawil performs a broad range of procedures, such as laparoscopic myomectomy and hysterectomy. In addition, he offers in-office procedures including hysteroscopic myomectomy and labiaplasty.

After he earned his medical degree from the American University of Beirut School of Medicine in Lebanon, Dr. Bardawil completed a research fellowship at Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis; he then completed his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Tufts New England Medical Center in Boston and received the Society of Laparoendoscopic Surgeons’ Outstanding Laparoendoscopic Resident award.

Dr. Bardawil served as a clinical assistant professor at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine, where he also established and served as director of the university’s Fibroid Clinic. He also served as the director of the HIV gynecology clinic at the Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami.

While serving at the University of Miami, Dr. Bardawil earned his Master of Business Administration in Health Sector Management and Policy at the University of Miami School of Business. He was honored with the Beta Gamma Sigma International Honor Society award during the program.

Dr. Bardawil is a reviewer for the medical journals Current Oncology and Infectious Diseases in Clinical Practice. He is also an academic editor for the journal Medicine.

Dr. Bardawil speaks English, French, and Arabic. He is a fellow of the American Congress of Obstetrics and Gynecology (FACOG) and a member of the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists.
