Dr. Sangita Jindal

Sangita K. Jindal, PhD, HCLD is Associate Professor and IVF Laboratory Director at Einstein College of Medicine/Montefiore Medical Center, Bronx NY. She received her PhD in reproductive physiology at the University of Toronto. In addition to directing clinical labs and ensuring compliance with all regulatory agencies, Sangita teaches REI fellows and mentors clinical research. She has published over fifty peer-reviewed articles, regularly presents original research at national and international scientific conferences, reviews abstracts and moderates oral sessions for the annual ASRM Scientific Congress and Expo, and is active on numerous national committees within ASRM. Other leadership positions she currently holds include chair of the SART Research Committee, chair of the SRBT Practice Committee, member of the SART Consent Review Committee, member of ASRM Research Task Force, and in the recent past was national co-president of SRBT, the affiliate society within ASRM representing all scientists in reproductive biology.

In all of these key roles, Sangita has provided a unique set of skills because of her experience simultaneously directing high-complexity laboratories in both academic and private practice settings. She emphasizes strong communication and organizational skills, team development and cooperation, and strategic planning. Through the cross-pollination of academic strengths and private practice strengths, she has been able to build well-informed and empowered teams that are responsive and transparent to the practice as a whole and to the patient in particular. Sangita has been committed to service work and leadership for over twenty years.
