Lorell Ruiz, MD
Dr. Lorell Ruiz is a board certified Radiologist with a sub-specialty in Breast Imaging. She is passionate about early breast cancer detection and women’s health. Dr. Ruiz specializes in imaging of the breast including interpretation of screening and diagnostic mammograms, breast ultrasound exams, and breast MRI. She also specializes in breast interventions, including image-guided breast biopsies and localizations.
Dr. Ruiz is a native of Puerto Rico. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from Villanova University in Pennsylvania and completed her medical degree with honors at the University of Puerto Rico School of Medicine. She completed her Diagnostic Radiology residency training at Baylor College of Medicine in the Texas Medical Center in Houston, Texas. She then went on to complete a Breast Imaging fellowship at the world renowned MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston. There she served as faculty attending staff in the Breast Imaging department before joining Care Diagnostics. Dr. Ruiz has presented at multiple national conferences and is published in the field of Breast Imaging.
Personal hobbies and interests outside of Radiology include travel, photography, cooking, fitness, and the beach.
