Dr. Alexander Lurie

Board certified in endocrinology, diabetes, and metabolism, Dr. Alexander Lurie grew up in Chicago and attended Dartmouth College in Hanover, New Hampshire, where he graduated cum laude with a major in physics. He then moved back to Chicago, earning his medical degree from Rush Medical College in 1997 and completing his internal medicine residency at Rush University Medical Center.

Dr. Lurie then completed an endocrinology fellowship at the University of Chicago Hospitals in 2003 before returning to Rush University Medical Center, where he was on staff as an assistant professor in endocrinology for six years. During this time, Dr. Lurie grew a large practice and was involved with clinical research and teaching.

In 2009, Dr. Lurie moved to Miami, Florida and has since built a thriving endocrinology practice.
When developing a treatment plan, Dr. Lurie uses a holistic approach that takes into account each patient’s background, preferences, goals and unique circumstances to tailor the plan uniquely to each patient.
